This week I purchased Portugal. The Man-Evil Friends . I'll admit that I don't know a lot about them as they have quite a bit of material that I have yet to delve into. I will say though that this album is excellent and is definitely added to my top ten of 2013. I also own In The Mountain In The Cloud and Censored Colors two totally different but stellar entities. I have a lot more exploration of this band in the near future. Something I am looking forward to for sure.
I will leave you with a few videos from their latest release. For those of you who are unfamiliar I hope you enjoy them.
We took a trip across the country to see family at the beginning of the summer. I made a playlist of current and not so current favorites to keep me occupied on the plane while I played Tetris Blitz.
While The Summer of 2011 will always remind me of driving across the desert to Vegas for a family reunion, the songs below will always remind me of Santa Barbara, a bumpy plane ride, humid Midwest weather, early morning thunderstorms, the treadmill at the hotel, and Lake Michigan.
This will be ongoing, I'm sure. Not in order of course. More by release date. 1. Tegan and Sara-Heartthrob 2. The National-Trouble Will Find Me 3. Portugal. The Man-Evil Friends I'm still holding out hope for that Sleater-Kinney reunion.
